If you like, import new files and/or contacts to Amicus from data output from another application. Also import contact-file associations if available. Use this function to populate your initial Amicus database, or to later add additional records.
Ensure that basic Amicus setup is done
For best results, ensure that Amicus firm members have been added. Also ensure that the following lists are set for the firm—in most cases default values may be set for new records, and in some cases new values may be added from imported records.

Export data from other application
Export the desired data (matter files, contacts, contact-file associations) to CSV format data file(s). In Amicus, you'll identify which particular fields (columns) to import. Use Microsoft Excel to inspect your data files if you like.
Configure the import
Choose the type of data to import (files, contacts, or contact-file relationships), specify the data file, and choose whether to use a saved configuration template or start from scratch.
Then map the data fields to Amicus fields, and choose some additional settings specific to your type of import.
Note that if someone has given you an import template, you can add it to Amicus for use. And you can export a saved template for sharing.

see Import
data - Configuration.
Optionally, save your customization as a template
For details, see IMPORTANT: Save your customization as a template if desired.
Start the import
You'll be notified
by email when the import is completed. We recommend that you check the
results. If necessary, you can undo the last import.
